Bailey's World (2020). 

This was the the first video art piece I made using green screen. I think this video serves as a great introduction to the space I mentally inhabit when making art. I feel as though I have imagined an entire world for myself in which to make.

✩ABOUT ME

 

Hi! :) My name is Bailey. and I'm a doll maker and mixed media artist from Austin, TX. I have a BA in Studio Art from Willamette University in Salem, OR and concentrate in sculpture.

I think of myself as a maker rather than creator. "Art" is the process of making, for me. Art is a verb! 

​

I have made art my whole life, and only recently I have begun creating sculptures, bringing the colors and patterns I used in my paintings, prints, and drawings into three-dimension. I do not think art has to be about anything. My art, if about anything, is about having fun, and recalling the process of play, through my making.

I have shown my work in the 2nd Annual (2018) Juried Art Show (Juror: Laura Butler Hughes) at Willamette University, the 3rd Annual (2019)  Juried Art Show (Juror: Michael Hernandez) at Willamette University, TANGENT (2021) at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Salem, Oregon, the 4th Annual (2021) Juried Art Show (Juror: Eilish Gormley)

at Willamette University, and (expected July 2021)

Blackfish Gallery Recent Graduates Show (2021) in Portland, Oregon.
